Stocking Your Bar
You will need a basic supply of goodies with which to mix your cocktails. You really get what you
pay for with liquor, so buy the best ingredients.
Each bar should have a varied range of spirits, mixers and garnishes.
These are just an example of what you can have - not a definitive list, just my opinion of the basics.
- Gin
- Vodka
- Rum (dark and light)
- Scotch Whisky
- Bourbon
- Tequila
- Brandy/Cognac
- Vermouth (dry and sweet)
- Triple sec
- Your choice of liqueurs
- Angostura bitters
- Grenadine
- Tonic water
- Tomato juice
- Soda water
- Cola
- Ginger ale
- Lots of different fruit juices
- Olives (green and black)
- Maraschino cherries
- Lemons
- Limes
- Oranges
- Nutmeg
- Caster sugar
- Tabasco sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
- Sugar syrup
